I don’t normally use this site to talk about myself so I hope you’ll bear with me because there are some ideas here that will increase your sales and your effectiveness if you lead salespeople.

This site is for primarily for me and other Sales Though Leaders to communicate. That is why you don’t see any advertising here. There are no opt-in forms. I don’t pitch any of my books, courses, or services here.
This site is just for some straight talk between ‘shoe leather salespeople’ on the important topics and trends of sales and sales management.
Sales can’t be taught but it can be learned. That is one of my bedrock beliefs that you’ve probably heard me say over and over again.
The same is true for sales management. It can be learned. It must be learned. The challenge is that it simply can’t be taught. It must be lived, coached, experienced. It is about growth. It is about sharpening the saw by actually doing.

180SalesCoaching is a site for Sales Managers and Owners who want to improve the performance of their teams. Most sales teams today aren’t nearly as effective as they could be. CSO Insights, one of the leading sales research companies in the US, says that the majority of sales people aren’t making quota. Worse, the number of people making quota has consistently gone down over the years.
That means Sales Managers and businesses are missing their numbers.

I know, there are tons of important stuff do to and read. I’m certainly not trying to put more on your plate.
But here is an unhappy fact: 90% of salespeople have never read a book on selling? Less than 18% of sales people dedicate more than an hour a week to sharpening their skills. Gallop reports that over 55% of sales people shouldn’t even be in sales and that of the remainder a full 25% of them are in the wrong jobs.
